My name is Roger Amado and I’m a natural home beach boy. Since young I am living close to the ocean. The ocean is my passion where I can feel at home. I have been working as a lifeguard for 7 years, an experienced surf coach for 10 years and a host for over 15 years. During your holidays I’m going to be your host and local guide.

• I.P.D.J. Surf Coach level I – Lusofona University – Post Graduation Surf and Performance
• A.S.I Surf Instructor Level I
• Surf Water Rescue, 1st Aid and CPR
• Portuguese Certified Lifeguard (I.S.N.)

Location

Portugal – Algarve

Aljezur is located around 250 km from Lisbon and 120 km from Faro, where are the nearby airports. The nearest bigger city is Lagos, and is located about 30 km away from us.

Aljezur is a small and peaceful village founded in century XV after the Moorish occupation. It is situated in the South-West coast of the Algarve, with the splendid and wild landscape of S.W. Natural Park and an incredible coastline of approximately 80 kilometers. This part of the Algarve is, luckily, not yet discovered by mass tourism.

From Aljezur you can explore several white sandy beaches, surrounded by cliffs and dunes. This unique place offers you a great opportunity to rediscover peace and tranquility, while you are only interrupted by the singing of the birds or the sound of the waves.

At the town you can find restaurants, bars, local shops, supermarkets, churches, and museums. There are different traditional market, where locals sell fresh caught fish like sea bass from the region.
